What it costs
Pay only for the space you use
A one-car garage with clutter along the walls is often about a half trailer. A full one-car garage fills the trailer, and a packed two-car garage can take more than one load.
Every price includes labor and loading from anywhere on the property, hauling, disposal and a sweep-up. Your on-site quote is the most you'll pay. If it packs tighter than we estimated, the price goes down.

Book a time
Book online and pick your arrival window. Mention an old fridge or freezer so we know it's coming.

Walk it with us
Point at what stays. We give you a firm price for the rest, by the space it takes in the trailer. That's the most you'll pay.

Load and sort
We load everything that is going and set aside donations and metal as we go. Go through boxes as we work if you like.

Sweep the floor
We sweep where your things were, so the car can go back in tonight.
Before we come
- Decide what stays. Point at it when we arrive, or put a sticky note on it.
- Pull out paint, gas cans, motor oil, pool chemicals, propane tanks and car batteries. We can't haul them.
- Drain the gas and oil from mowers, trimmers and other small engines.
- If an old fridge or freezer is going, empty it and unplug it the day before so it can drain.
- Park the cars away from the garage door if you can, so we can load straight into the trailer.
Where it goes
- Tools, bikes, sports gear and furniture in good shape go to local donation centers whenever possible.
- Metal, like shelving, bikes, mowers and grills, goes to a scrap-metal recycler whenever possible.
- Refrigerators and freezers go to a recycler after the refrigerant is recovered. That's what the $40 Freon fee covers.
- Tires go to a tire recycler. Everything else goes to the landfill.
Local rules
Will the city take it instead?
Some of it, a pile at a time. A full garage is often 8 to 16 cubic yards, more than most cities pick up at once, and several won't take refrigerators at the curb. Here's the short version for the cities we serve.
- Rowlett
Weekly, up to 2 cubic yards; extra yards are billed. No refrigerators, freezers, tires or paint.
- Garland
Weekly on your green-cart day. Separate piles for brush, bulky items and appliances, and nothing over 40 pounds per item.
- Sachse
Once a month, up to 6 cubic yards. Loose items have to be boxed, and fridges are only taken if a technician has tagged them.
- Rockwall
Twice a month, up to 6 cubic yards. City code doesn't allow discarded furniture or appliances to be stored outside between pickups.
- Heath
Weekly bulk pickup. Appliances only once the Freon has been removed and certified, and no tires, batteries, electronics or paint.
- Wylie
Once a month, up to 4 cubic yards. Loose debris has to be boxed, and fridges need a refrigerant-removed tag.
- Murphy
Weekly, up to 4 cubic yards. Anything more needs a paid quote from Republic Services.
- Richardson
Request a BABIC pickup by midnight the night before. The city asks residents to keep it to about 8 requests a year.
- Mesquite
Weekly, up to 8 cubic yards. Appliances are picked up on Wednesdays, but you have to call first.
- Dallas
Once a month, up to 10 cubic yards. No refrigerators or freezers with coolant, tires, electronics or paint.
- Plano
Once a month, in a pile up to 6 × 4 × 4 feet. Refrigerators and freezers only through a paid special collection.

Garage cleanouts: common questions
Do I need to sort everything first?
No. Walk us through it and point at what stays. We'll load the rest. If you want to go through boxes as we work, that's fine too.
Will you sweep up?
Yes. Every job ends with the floor swept where your things were.
Can you take paint, gas cans or chemicals?
No. We can't haul paint of any kind (liquid or dried), fuels, oils or chemicals. We'll leave them set aside so you can take them to a household hazardous waste drop-off.
What about an old refrigerator or freezer in the garage?
We take them. Refrigerators, freezers and A/C units carry a $40 Freon recovery fee, which is listed on your on-site quote.
Will the city take my garage junk instead?
Some of it, over time. Most cities we serve pick up somewhere between 2 and 10 cubic yards at a time, and a full garage is often 8 to 16. Several also turn down refrigerators and tires at the curb. The city rules on this page show the limits where you live.
Can you take shelving and a workbench?
Free-standing shelving and workbenches, yes. If something is bolted to the wall, tell us when you book and we'll look at it with you on site.
